A Meme for 2010, about 2009

1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?

Learned to weave.

2. Did you keep your New Year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I don’t make them because I never keep them.

3. How did you spend New Year’s Eve?

With my parents in Arizona.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

My paternal grandfather. (92 years old)

5. What countries did you visit?


6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?

A job, and a better prospect for the future.

7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

June 1st..  It’s the day I knew my job was over forever.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Learning to weave.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Trying to find a job.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Just the usual blood pressure issues.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

A Schacht Baby Wolf Loom 26″ floor loom.

12. Where did most of your money go?

Paying off, or down, all my bills.

13. What song will always remind you of 2009?

It’s a Hard Knock Life – from the movie Annie.

14. What do you wish you’d done more of?

Travel, education.

15. What do you wish you’d done less of?

16. What was your favourite TV program?

The Big Bang Theory.

17. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?

I try not to hate people.  It promotes bad Kharma.

18. What was the best book you read?

The Cell by Stephen King.  (actually third time)

19. What was your greatest musical discovery?

20. What was your favorite film of this year?


22. What kept you sane?

My wonderful family and friends.
23. Who did you miss?

Some of my co-workers.

24. Who was the best new person you met?

I didn’t meet any new people that stood out more than anyone else.

25. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009:

That nothing in life is guaranteed.  Even if you think it will last forever, it probably won’t!
